Kama Sutra Tarot
According to legend, the Kamasutra was created by the Indian god Shiva who, overwhelmed by the joys of sexual experience, dictated to a servant a treatise on erotic art, in order to make known and render eternal the amorous practices that he himself had experienced. This is a modern deck since there is no historical association between tarot cards and the Indian erotic work. The Kama Sutra only consists of 64 images, but the publisher commissioned Indian artists to create 78 designs to complete a unique full tarot deck inspired by the Indian erotic work.
We also include our booklet with a short history of Tarot cards, and six of the earliest surviving Tarot games. (list of Games below)

The authors, experts in the fields of art history, games, and the tarot, trace the history of the tarot deck from its origins in the game room to its current role in occult circles. Their thorough research cuts through the misconceptions and glamorization surrounding the cards' rather mundane beginnings, while revealing the rich history of psychological, political, and religious influences on our perceptions of what is now a common tool of many occult practitioners.
